UKGN was created in 2007 following a request for a new approach to glazing commodity services from leading insurers. The objective was to take the high levels of service proven by UKGN's sister company, UK Drainage Network, and apply it to glazing.
With experts in customer case management, supply chain and glazing already resident within the business, UKGN has designed a comprehensive solution that can conclude 100% of glazing insurance claims within its own operation. A bureau approach means that each case is assessed independently and the right solution for both property owner and insurance company identified, whether this be through traditional repair or replacement of the item, cash settlement or via a more innovative solution.
The glazing services available to insurance companies have evolved from glazing companies. Consequently, the only solutions available are traditional repair or replacement remedies. By developing UKGN from a case management approach, unconventional and innovative solutions can be provided without having to pass claims back to the insurer. This case management also ensures that the most cost effective solution is applied to each case, whether this uses traditional glazing methods or not.
