An initial phone call to the property owner is used to gather all relevant facts and identify possible solutions.

Fraud detection indicators are used to highlight claims that may require additional scrutiny, but more frequently a property owner is able to provide enough information for a full assessment to be made. Where it is necessary for an item to be measured up for fabrication, a relevant expert is allocated to attend site within 24 hours.
Where a case manager is satisfied that the claim is valid, for example, where damage can be confirmed from a digital photograph provided by the property owner, they may agree a cash settlement solution to conclude the claim quickly and efficiently.
If, during the course of questioning, it becomes apparent that the damage will not be covered by their insurance policy, the property owner is counselled and assistance is provided to help them to solve their problem using one of UKGN's accredited contract partners.
